Shinsuke Eguchi, Ph.D

Hello, everyone!

I am a Full Professor in the Department of Communication & Journalism at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM, USA. 

I deploy queer of color critique to examine the interlocking systems of domination rooted in socially constructed categories of differences (i.e., race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, nation, coloniality, language, and the body). My mobilization of queer of color critique articulates issues and concerns of globalization, transnationalism, migration, or diaspora grounded in social activism and advocacy. 

My scholarship speaks with my teaching interests in Critical Cultural Studies; International and Intercultural Communication; Interpersonal Communication; Gender, Sexuality, and Queer Studies; Race and Ethnic Studies; Asian/American Studies; and Performance Studies.
